Aurora Blue Old English Sheepdogs
Aurora Blue OES has been in the making for decades as my late father was the inspiration for Aurora Blue OES. My Dad was in love with this breed and after much research, our family welcomed Hendihap Shaynazen, our first OES from breeder Lorie Boerner in New York, into our hearts and home. We had our Shayna for 14 wonderful years and knew our family would never be complete without an OES. I continued the tradition with my own family when we brought our girl Mone’t into our lives and she was my twin children's best friend and they were fortunate enough to grow up with her. It was with Mone’t I started conformation showing and breeding. Along the way, I met wonderful people in the breed who mentored and taught me so much and am truly indebted to them for their part in my journey.
I have been a member of the Old English Sheepdog Club of America for 12 years, and presently sit on the OESCA Health and Research Committee. I am deeply committed to the health of our breed and worked with OESCA to establish a PRA genetic testing program for our breed which is on-going. I firmly believe in genetic testing and only breeding dogs who have genetic health testing clearances. I am also committed to the behavioral health of OES. Our puppies are lovingly raised with my family and I am a firm believer in early neurological stimulation and raise my puppies with the PUPPY CULTURE bio-sensor program. I am very proud of my AKC Breeder of Merit Award.
My goal with Aurora Blue is to breed to the OES Standard to preserve those traits which make our breed unique and to ensure our puppies go to loving homes and support them throughout their lives whether they are conformation, performance or beloved companion dogs.
